SUBMISSION
SCHACAH, SUBMISSION, TO WORSHIP
in Hebrew means – “to worship and to bow down”. Genesis 22: 5 Exodus 34:8
"After lunch, we reassemble and our training continues. Throughout the day Dr. Kataria would say,"Shaka" and look at me. It becomes a catch phrase, an anthem of some sort. Our name tags have not arrived and late that night as I retire to my hotel room, I realize that I don't need a name tag. Everyone was now associating me with the word “Shaka”. I had a remarkable feeling that something deep and special had happened that day. It was as though I had named myself within the group and something had been born or embodied through me and in me. I felt somehow that I would never be the same again.
That night, alone in my room, I do a search on my Blackberry to research “Shaka” as a word. I find another spelling for it in Hebrew in the form of “SCHACAH” which means “to worship and to bow down”, more specifically, “to prostrate oneself with the forehead touching the ground.” I find this very curious as I turn out the light and go to sleep."
