AWAKENED
SHAKA, AWAKENED
NYORAI (BUDDHA) the Historical Buddha (Prince Siddhartha, later Gautama Buddha)
Siddhartha became known in Japan as Shaka or Shakamuni, which means “Sage of the
Shaka Clan” (his actual birth clan).
"Dr. Kataria turns to me and says, “Well Stephen is the Founder, is that okay with you Stephen? I respond, “Well yeah, sure, that’s fine.” Then Yoshiko; a young Japanese female; raises her hand to speak. Dr. Kataria acknowledges her and she says, “Dr. Kataria, “SHAKHA” means “BUDDHA” in Japanese. I’m sitting quietly thinking to myself, “What’s going on here?” “SHAKHA” means to “bow down or full submission to the Divine Presence and it means “BUDDHA?” “What does this mean?”
